the color of our cloth
makes no difference as we stand,
curbside watching the church
we built burn on top
of the earth this earth
once so warm and green
and undivided

Comment: Obvious symbolism here… The church being my marriage and the color of the cloth means there is no absolute right or wrong, and the earth always reclaims everything as its own, eventually, and the earth doesn’t care about right or wrong either.
